Su-30MKI vs F-21

Su-30MKI vs F-21

the f-16 fighting falcon is a remarkable fighter plane and it had placed its mark in the global defence market. but the new f-21 proposed to India is actually a replica of the legendary fighter f-16. as I have mentioned earlier it is a warplane that India might want to take a look upon but there are some reasons that pull me back one of them is that the eternal enemy of India Pakistan is using this same plane.

so before going to the f-21 let's study the f-16, I do believe that the newer version will have a better performance

F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine supersonic multirole fighter aircraft originally developed by General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin for the United States Air Force. Designed as an air superiority day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multirole aircraft. Over 4,500 aircraft have been built. Although no longer being purchased by the U.S. Air Force, improved versions are being built for export customers.

Wingspan                 :10m
Length                      :15m
Height                       :5m

Max. takeoff weight  : 20,900 kg
Thrust                        :29,000lb
Maximum Speed      :1,500mph (Mach 2)
Maximum Altitude   :In excess of 15,000m (50,000ft)
Range                        :More than 2,000 miles ferry range (1,740nm)
unit cost                    : F-16C/D: US$18.8 million (1998)

now let's compare this beauty with Indias Sukhoi Su-30MKI

The Sukhoi Su-30MKI is a twinjet multirole air superiority fighter developed by Russia's Sukhoi and built under license by India's Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for the Indian Air Force. A variant of the Sukhoi Su-30, it is a heavy, all-weather, long-range fighter and not much has been built only 250.

Wingspan                  : 14.7 m
Length                      : 21.935 m
Height                       : 6.36 m

Empty weight          : 18,400 kg
Max. takeoff weight: 38,800 kg
thrust                         :246 kN
Maximum Speed      : Mach 1.9
Service ceiling         : 17,300 m
Range                        : 3,000km
unit cost                     : US$52 million

well after a lot of assessment I declare f-21 as the winner (mainly due to cost) compared to IAF 's backbone SU-30mki and without considering that wing commander abhinandhan had shot down an f-16 with a rusty old plane and the fair price of the plane

to be honest it is a great fighter which cannot be used by India but build by Indi.
